I’m going to be honest here, if I had to pick one, six to eight months maybe one of my favorite milestone sessions. Baby is usually able to sit up on their own and may even be trying to crawl. Some overachievers on the upper end of this age range may even be holding on to mom or dad’s fingers and attempting to walk. Regardless of where you babe is from a physical developmental standpoint, he or she will be awake and full of smiles and personality, which is what really makes this session so special. So come along and walk through this six month old lifestyle milestone session we did at this family’s beautiful home in the Atlanta suburbs!
As I arrived at the family home, I was greeted not only by the smiling faces of mom, dad & baby girl, but by two happy pups with their tales wagging. Though baby girl was a bit shy during our session, as long as she was in mama’s arms, she was happy as a clam! We started the session by capturing candid moments of the three of them and of baby laughing and babbling, her bright eyes shining with wonder.
Details From Your Milestone Sessions
Next, we began to transition outside, which presented us with a great opportunity to capture some detail shots of baby girl! I make it a point at each milestone session, to capture photos that highlight all of the baby’s precious details & features. As a mom myself of two little girls, I do not regret having all of these shots to look back on how they’ve grown over the years.
Once in the front yard, baby girl’s curiosity into the world around her blossomed. She loved feeling the grass under her tiny feet and a slight breeze in her hair. We captured some precious family moments as mom and dad snuggled their baby close, showering her with love and kisses. The love and joy in their eyes were palpable, and it was clear that this family was filled with happiness and gratitude for each other.
As the session came to an end, I reflected on the special milestone moments we had captured. Undoubtedly, the love and bond between this family is strong and It was an honor to witness and to document such a special time in their lives!
